Beyond the veil: Big Tech’s secret AGI
Exploring the Horizon of General Artificial Intelligence and its Deep Implications/ Deep Analy

Since I started writing about artificial intelligence in January 2023, I have witnessed an astonishing transformation.
Every day, new capabilities developed by large technology companies never cease to amaze me, leading me to wonder:
Are we approaching the dawn of General Artificial Intelligence (AGI)?
This question is not just the result of my curiosity, but a crucial point of reflection on the future that awaits us.
AGI, with its promises of unprecedented progress, could be the key to overcoming some of the most complex challenges of our era.
However, I cannot help but worry about the ethical and social implications that such an advanced intelligence would entail.
With the experience gained from writing about artificial intelligence, leading my own industry start-up and immersing myself in in-depth studies, my passion for AGI has shaped my professional vision.
But how will AGI truly transform the fabric of our society?
Let’s go deeper
Between Innovation and Uncertainty: Navigating the Future of AGI

Deep in our collective imagination, General Artificial Intelligence (AGI) resides as a hazy boundary between the creative genius and the destructive demon.
Since January 2023, observing the meteoric evolution of AI technologies, I have often found myself pondering the thin line between innovation and danger.
These technologies, capable of learning, adapting and acting with human-like intelligence, promise to lead humanity into a new era of prosperity.
But at the same time, they evoke a shiver down our spine: what happens when these intelligences exceed our understanding and control?
The emotion that pervades when contemplating AGI is twofold: a mixture of awe at its beneficial potential and palpable anxiety at the unknowns it opens up.
Precarious Balances: Ethics and Social Impact of AGI

As AGI continues to break through the barriers of what we believe is possible, a crucial question emerges powerfully: how can we ensure that its development proceeds in an ethical and responsible manner?
The issue of equity in access to technology, privacy of personal data and the potential impact on employment are just some of the challenges that AGI brings.
Addressing these issues requires more than just reflection; it requires real commitment from all stakeholders involved, from the companies that develop these technologies to the governments that regulate them, to us, the civil society, the ultimate recipients of these innovations.
My work in my start-up has shown me that it is possible to pursue technological progress that is both pioneering and ethical, but this balance is delicate and requires constant vigilance.
But are we really ready to welcome AGI into our daily lives, with all its complexities? And more importantly, how can we ensure that the benefits are distributed fairly, without creating further inequalities?
Beyond the Veil: The Secret AGI of Big Tech

The emergence of revolutionary technologies such as Gemini, ChatGPT and Sora by giants like OpenAI and Google is not only a step forward in the evolution of artificial intelligence: it is a clear indicator that General Artificial Intelligence (AGI) may no longer be a distant horizon, but a tangible reality.
These innovations, characterised by remarkably advanced learning and adaptation capabilities, mark a crucial moment in AGI research, suggesting that we may already be facing the first incarnations of general-purpose intelligent systems.
The implication of such developments goes far beyond the technical. They represent a potential transformation in the way we interact with technology, tackle global problems and conceive the future of work and creativity.
The speed and discretion with which these platforms have been developed and released underline a progression that could soon affect every aspect of our daily lives.
Recognising the importance of these milestones, it becomes critical for us as a society to consider how to responsibly integrate these AGI capabilities into our systems, ensuring that benefits are widely distributed and risks are wisely managed.
Responsible innovation and ethics thus become non-negotiable pillars in the march towards a future in which AGI plays a central role.
Towards a Shared Future: AGI and Our Society

Google’s recent revelations about Gemini, described as the most advanced and capable AI model the company has ever built, only reinforce the hypothesis that AGI is not just a future possibility but an ongoing or imminent reality.
With capabilities that exceed current results in major academic benchmarks and versatility ranging from image, audio, and video recognition to code understanding and generation, Gemini represents a milestone in the race towards AGI.
These technologies not only promise to revolutionise areas such as healthcare and education but also raise crucial questions about ethics, privacy and the impact on work.
As we approach this new era, it becomes essential for companies, regulators and society as a whole to work together to navigate the challenges posed by AGI, ensuring that the benefits are distributed fairly and potential risks are minimised.
The responsibility to shape a future in which AGI acts as a positive force for humanity falls on all of us.
